Mother nature wins again, pick your own apples postponed.

Hi guys farmer Joe here,

I regret to inform you that due to the odd spring weather our main species of Macoun trees did not produce apples in our pick your own orchard. My thoughts are that due to the high to low temperature swings in late March to April the bees were unable to get out and do their job. Normally in the spring you can see and hear the bees carrying out their duties, this year not even crickets were making noise.

I will be working diligently later this season soil testing, foliar testing, and tree trimming to be sure next year we can offer you the highest standard of Macoun you have become accustomed to. I am also in search of a bee keeper who would like to put hives on or near the property. Any leads please use the contact tab at the top and send me a message.

Now for the good news! Our Snake Hill and RT101 orchards both have a different type and species of Macoun tree which did produce. We will have plenty of apples on the shelves for you right until Christmas!

Come on down and grab a bag along with you favorite pie or donuts! Look forward to seeing you soon!
